Riti · Help & setup
Everything you need to run Riti on your store
Riti adds a virtual try-on button to your product pages. A shopper uploads one photo and sees the item on themselves in about fifteen seconds. This page covers setup, the fitting room, analytics, and billing. Anything it doesn’t answer: [email protected].
Getting started
- Install Riti from the Shopify App Store. The app opens in your Shopify admin — no separate account, and billing runs entirely through Shopify.
- Add the try-on button to your theme. The app’s home page shows a setup checklist with an Open theme editor link that lands in your product template with the Riti block pre-selected — click Save in the editor and the button is live. You can also add it by hand: Theme editor → product template → Add block → Riti Style Studio.
- Run a try-on. Open any product page on your storefront, click the try-on button and upload a photo. Your first successful try-on flips the app home from the checklist to your live dashboard.
The button installs as a theme app extension — no code is added to your theme files, and uninstalling Riti removes it cleanly.
The try-on button
Shoppers upload one clear, full-length photo. The render takes about fifteen seconds and appears with a before/after slider; Add to cart adds the garment they’re wearing in the render. Photos are held in the shopper’s browser for the session so trying a second product doesn’t ask again.
Button text, colour, size and placement are yours to change under Settings in the app, with a live preview beside the controls.
The fitting room
The fitting room lets a shopper collect several items and render them as one outfit — a four-piece look costs a single try-on, not four. Shoppers can add any garment from the look to the cart individually, and save a look with their email to come back to it.
The fitting room launcher ships as an app embed: Theme editor → App embeds (left sidebar, puzzle-piece icon) → toggle Riti fitting room on, then save.
Shoppers who save a look appear in the app under Saved looks. Those who tick the marketing consent box are also written into your Shopify customer list, tagged riti-saved-look, so your email tools can pick them up.
Dashboard & attribution
Every try-on carries an ID into the cart, so add-to-carts and orders are matched back to the render that produced them. The app home shows try-ons, add-to-cart rate, and revenue attributed to try-ons, plus a monthly report. No setup needed — attribution works from the first try-on.
Trial, plans & billing
Every store starts with a free trial: 30 days or 50 try-ons, whichever ends first. No card required. After the trial, pick a plan under Plans & billing in the app:
- Starter — $29/month, 120 try-ons included, then $0.25 each (capped at $50/month)
- Growth — $59/month, 400 try-ons included, then $0.18 each (capped at $150/month)
- Pro — $99/month, 700 try-ons included, then $0.12 each (capped at $300/month)
Only successful try-ons count — failed renders are free. Overage has a hard monthly cap, so spend can never run away. All charges go through the Shopify Billing API and appear on your Shopify invoice. You can switch plans or cancel any time from Plans & billing — no reinstall, no support ticket.
Shopper photos & privacy
Shopper photos are never stored — they are sent to the AI image provider, used to generate the render, and discarded. The only image we keep is a look a shopper explicitly saves. The full details, including the providers we use and how merchants and shoppers can request deletion, are in the privacy policy.
When a shopper saves a look, Riti emails it to them from “{your store name} via Riti”, with replies going to your store’s contact email. The email links to a page on your own domain (/apps/riti/look/…) that renders inside your theme, shows live prices and stock, and adds the whole look to the cart in one tap. Shoppers can delete a look from that page at any time.
Troubleshooting
The button isn’t showing on my product page
The block must be added to the product template of your published theme — the app home shows a status banner telling you whether it detects the block there. If you added it to a draft theme or a different template, it won’t appear on the live page.
The fitting room launcher isn’t showing
The launcher is an app embed, which is separate from the button block — check Theme editor → App embeds and make sure it’s toggled on in the published theme.
A render looks wrong
Results are best with a clear, well-lit, full-length photo of one person facing the camera. Shoppers can rate a result in the widget; those ratings roll up into your dashboard so you can see quality over time.
What happens when I uninstall?
Shopify notifies us and we erase everything associated with your shop — saved looks and their images, try-on records, statistics, attributed orders, settings and your merchant record. The theme block and app embed disappear with the app. Reinstalling starts clean.
